About Me

We Live, We Love,
We Serve
We believe that God really loves people, and that He wants each of us to have a close relationship with Him.
Our hope is that all people will feel loved and welcomed at DMC. And once here, we pray that people will meet God and as a result of meeting God, give their lives to Jesus Christ. We want that for you. Come as you are. Check us out, but more importantly, seek the truth of God that can only be known when one knows Jesus.
While you are browsing our website, you will learn about our programs and get a glimpse of who we are, but only a glimpse. To fully understand us, come to a worship service or to a small group and feel the up-close, in-person fellowship that comes when people share time together with the Holy Spirit present. Enjoy the website, then come. We’d love to meet you and know you.
Our Beliefs
GOD (the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit) is the creator and ruler of the universe. God loves us so much that He sent His only Son to die, Jesus Christ, to show us the way back to God, and to die on the cross to take the punishment for all our sins.
JESUS CHRIST is the Son of God. He is co-equal with the Father. Jesus lived a sinless human life and offered himself as the perfect sacrifice for the sins of all men by dying on a cross. He arose from the dead after three days to demonstrate His power over sin and death. He ascended to heaven’s glory and will return again to earth to reign as King of Kings and Lord of Lords.
The HOLY SPIRIT is equal with the Father and the Son. He is present in the world to make men aware of their need for Jesus Christ. He also lives in every Christian from the moment of salvation. He provides the Christian with power for living, understanding of spiritual truth, and guidance in doing what is right. The Christian seeks to live under his control daily.
The BIBLE is inspired by God, and is the supreme source of truth for Christian beliefs and living. The Bible is as relevant and meaningful to us today as it was when it was written.
SALVATION comes only through faith in Jesus Christ and His shed blood on the Cross of Calvary: “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God” (Ephesians 2:8; 1:7; Acts 4:12, Romans 10:13-15; John 3:16).
WATER BAPTISM is a direct command of Jesus and is to be done by immersion. This act shows the believer’s identification with Jesus’ death, burial and resurrection: “Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life” (Romans 6:4).
BAPTISM OF THE HOLY SPIRIT “But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth (Acts 1;8; 2:38, 39).
DIVINE HEALING was provided by Jesus’ suffering and death on the Cross and is available to all who believe: “But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: (Isaiah 53:5; 1 Peter 2:24; Mark 16:18; James 5:14, 15).
THE DEVIL-SATAN is real, inspires sin as evil incarnate, initiated the fall of man, and is destined to the judgment of an eternal punishment in the lake of fire. (Matthew 4:1-3; Acts 5:3; 2 Corinthians 4:4;Revelation 20:10).
THE CHRISTIAN WALK: We believe that we have a holy calling to walk not after the flesh but after the Spirit, and so to live in the power of the indwelling Spirit in order that we will not fulfill the lust of the flesh. The flesh is never eradicated in this life. Individuals must choose to keep the flesh in subjection to Jesus Christ through the power of the Holy Spirit, or it will surely manifest its presence in life and dishonor our Lord. (Romans 6:11-13; 8:2, 4, 12-13; Galatians 5:16-23; Ephesians 4:22-24; Colossians 2:1-10; 1 Peter 1:14-16; 1 John 1:4-7; 3:5-9).
SECOND COMING OF CHRIST shall take place in two stages. First, “the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord” (I Thessalonians 4:16, 17).
THE LORD’S SUPPER: we celebrate the Lord’s Supper (or Communion) in remembrance of Christ: “After the same manner also he took the cup, when he had supped, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood: this do ye, as oft as ye drink it, in remembrance of me (I Corinthians 11:25). All born again believers in Christ are invited to particiapter in the special observance.
JUDGEMENT: We believe that everyone will stand before the judgment seat of Christ. Born-again believers will be sent to a place of everlasting life, and nonbelievers will be sent to a place of everlasting punishment (Revelation 20:11, 12; 2 Corinthians 5:10).
HEAVEN: We believe that heaven is the habitation of the living God and the eternal home of born-again believers (John 14:2; Revelation 7:15-17).
HELL: We believe that hell is a place of darkness, deep sorrow and unquenchable fire, which was not prepared for man but for the devil and his angels; it will become the place of eternal separation from God for all who reject Christ as Savior (Matthew 13: 41, 42; Revelation 20:10, 15).
Any person who puts their faith in Jesus (any person who trusts in him, follows His teaching, and relies on Him alone) will have everlasting life, with God. God gives power by His grace to His faithfull followers to help them live godly lives and to achieve the purpose they were created for.
